Verona Pieper-Gutekunst

Verona Mathilda Pieper was born 18 Jun 1904 in Eden, Wisconsin. She was the oldest child of Henry Frederich Pieper (1875 - 1964) and Emelia Schultz (1880 - 1962). She met Carl Christoph Gutekunst in the summer of 1926 at her family's church in Campbellsport; They were married by Carl's father, Carl Johann, in Carl Johann's church in New Fane, on 18 September 1930. Over the years, the family moved to Necedah, Wisconsin; Storm Lake, Iowa; and Monticello, Iowa. They retired to Seward, Nebraska in 1970. Carl Christoph died 13 November 1990; Verona died 1 July 1997.
