Mrs. George Prosek
The funeral for Mrs. George Prosek, 89, 332 W. Frederick, who died Friday at Wakefield, will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The funeral home will be open for visitation Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to service time.
The former Dora Gehrman was born Nov. 15, 1897, at Ironwood, daughter of the late Steven and Elizabeth Gehrman. She attended the German Lutheran Church School at Hurley. For several years she worked at Paul's Store, Hurley. On July 29, 1929, she was married to George Prosek at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hurley, by the Rev. Marquard. She was a member of St. Paul's Church and a member of its Ladies Aide [sic] 60 years.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Robert, Burnsville, Minn.; one daughter, Nancy, Ironwood; two granddaughters; and one brother, Michael, Ironwood. Preceeding her in death were three brothers, John, in 1954, Joseph, 1979, and George, 1980; and three sisters, Helen Hartwich, 1953; Ann Sabol, 1960, and Mary Millard, 1977. |
